This weekend Coach Rich Sobilo and the BNI Hockey club team won the class A state championship. Noll was down 1-0 at the end of 2. the Warriors were able to tie the game 30 seconds into the 3rd period on a goal by Michael Deady assisted by Joey Vessely and Tommy Delaney. The Warriors took the lead on a Jason Kasper goal assisted by Tyler Stailey. Insurance came minutes later when Ray Jackson scored with an assist going to Hunter Zahorsky. This is only Noll’s 2nd year as a varsity program and went from 3 wins last season to 18 this season. The Warriors were state runner-ups in 1999 and their last state championship in hockey was in 1988 under the direction of Coach Ed Hreha.
