The girls track team ran a spectacular sectional meet on Tuesday evening at Highland High School. Running against powerhouse teams Munster and Highland, the BNI girls placed an impressive third place. Our girls ran a fantastic meet, many of them achieving personal records.
Included on our team are two sectional champions! Taylor Reid placed FIRST in the shot put with a throw of 36’5′ and Faith Jackson placed FIRST in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.41.

All the girls had an awesome meet. We are so proud of everyone. Two champions and qualifying in an impressive 8 events! Way to go girls! The Regional meet will be contested May 23 at Portage High School.
Fun fact: According to our best records, the last time Bishop Noll had a thrower qualify for the Regional meet in both shot put and discus was 1986. This was none other than our girls’ throwing coach Amy (Werkowski) Pleasant. Amy still holds the record in shot put set in 1985.
