Bishop Noll Institute
Bishop Noll Boys Varsity Tennis beat Lake Station Edison High School 3-2 in a conference match today. It was a very close match. Our #1 Doubles match was the decisive match. It took about two and a half hours to complete this match. Everyone was watching nervously until the last point won by our #1 Doubles team Franco Komyatte (11) and John Wea (11). They fought hard for the entire three sets. We could tell that both teams were exhausted and every point was very intense because they started missing some easy shots. We were very glad that we prevail. This is the first time in four years that we have finally beaten Lake Station Edison. It sure was not an easy win. Our #1 Singles Chris Gordon (12) also played a three-set match but lost. He fought and played for over two hours too. It was a long battled against his opponent because most points were very long point. Our #3 Singles and #2 Doubles team won in straight set. Our #2 Singles fought hard against another good player and lost in straight set. They will play these opponents again in a conference tournament starting next Thursday.
