Game Recap

The Bishop Noll Lady Warriors won their season opener, at home, against Highland, 54-48.

After a slow start and early foul trouble, the Lady Warriors had to work from an 8-0 deficit, to start the first quarter. The Lady Warriors took a 5 point lead to end the first half, 27-25.

Highland got within two points early in the third quarter, but Noll extended its lead to 44-35 to end the third quarter, and never led by fewer than 6 points in the fourth quarter.

The Lady Warriors were led by freshman point guard, Courtney Blakely, who ended the game with 24 point.

Kristian Steele, a junior forward, controlled the inside and glass with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Senior guard, Faith Jackson, added 11 points.

The Lady Warriors aggressive defense and uptempo offensive play, will make for a very exciting basketball season.

The Lady Warriors will face Merrillville at home on Friday, November 10.
