Introducing your 2021 Warrior Madness Champion and first induction into the Bishop Noll Coaches Hall of Fame… Larry Bentley!
Coach Bentley was the former Head Baseball Coach from 1991-96, winning sectional titles his last two years. Served many years as the assistant baseball coach under Jack Gabor, and was an assistant coach under Doug Ferry after he stepped down from his head coaching position. He impacted thousands of students with his coaching and having taught at Bishop Noll for 32 years and in the Diocese of Gary for a total of 36 years. He also taught driver’s education for many years.
Coach Bentley amassed 164 votes in the final round to secure his spot as Champion! Coach Bentley received $4,689 in votes throughout the entirety of the tournament. The other Warrior Madness finalist, BNI’s first softball coach, Stella Sobilo, received $4,222 in supporting votes.
Thank you to everyone who supported Coach Bentley, Coach Sobilo, and all the 62 other well deserving BNI past and present coaches who were part of this inaugural Warrior Madness fundraiser!
