Bishop Noll kept the winning streak alive, recording its sixth consecutive victory in the form of a big 5-1 victory over Munster High School at Irving Park.
Noll got on the board first when senior, Isaac Rosa, homered to right-center giving the Warriors a 1-0 lead. In the bottom of the fourth, Bishop Noll picked up some insurance runs and extended the lead for good. With the game tied 1-1 junior, Jake Fuehrmeyer, hit a groundball to the left side, which was good enough to drive in Richie Redding. Junior, Ryan Bradtke, came up next and hit an RBI double to right-center. The runs didn’t stop there. With the bases loaded sophomore, Devin Padilla, doubled to left-center bringing in two more runs and putting Noll up 5-1.
Bradtke also had a strong performance on the mound, allowing only one run on three hits while striking out five in six innings of work. The junior right-hander worked out of multiple jams and had some solid defense behind him helping to secure the win. Junior, Will Peters, closed things out in the bottom of the seventh, allowing no hits while striking out one.
The Warriors are now 8-3 on the season and will be back in action against Richards High School Friday afternoon at Gary RailCats Stadium (U.S. Steel Yard). First pitch set for 4:30 p.m.
