After a slow start at the plate, Bishop Noll’s bats heated yesterday afternoon, pounding out 13 hits in a 12-3 victory against conference foe River Forest.
Senior, Isaac Rosa, got things rolling in the bottom of the third when he hit a three-run homer to right-center. From that point on, Noll never looked back. Junior, Jake Fuehmeyer, went 3-3 with two RBI’s and two runs scored. Ryan Bradtke also had a strong performance at the plate, going 3-4 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored. Jack Poland went 1-2 with two walks, a run scored and one RBI while sophomore, Devin Padilla, went 1-2 with two RBI’s.
In addition to his offensive contributions, Fuehmeyer also had a quality outing on the mound, allowing only two runs on six hits in four innings of work. The right-hander also struck out five on his way to picking up his first win of the season. Junior right-hander, Will Peters, finished things off for the Warriors, pitching three scoreless innings that included two strikeouts and no walks.
Bishop Noll will head to River Forest on Thursday for the second game of this two-game conference series. First pitch set for 5 p.m.
