Bishop Noll snapped Whiting’s four-game winning streak yesterday afternoon at Oil City Stadium, defeating the Oilers by a final of 14-0.
The Warriors wasted no time getting on the board, scoring three runs in the top of the first. Noll scored four more runs in the top of the fourth and five in the top of the seventh to finish off the Oilers.
Along with some great defense, Antonio DeCrescenzo had a stellar performance on the mound. The junior right-hander shutout the Oilers, allowing only two hits while striking out three in seven innings of work.
Jake Fuehrmeyer kept his bat hot, going 2-for-3 with two RBI’s and two runs scored. Brendan Zavesky went 3-for-5 with two runs scored while Aiden Companiott had two hits and three RBI’s. Ryan Bradtke and Mario Nunez also chipped in with two RBI’s a piece.
Noll continues conference play this afternoon at River Forest High School when they take on the Ingots at 5 p.m.
