Bishop Noll demonstrated a lot of fight and mental toughness yesterday afternoon, overcoming a five-run deficit only to come up one run short in a 7-6 loss on the road to conference rival Hanover Central.
Trailing 6-1 heading into the top of the sixth, Noll scored two runs and tacked on another three runs in the top of the seventh to tie things up 6-6. With two runners on and one out, Hanover Central (11-3) got a timely hit to centerfield to score the winning run.
The Warriors (9-6) look to split the season series today when they take on Hanover Central at Irving Park at 5 p.m.
