Bishop Noll Institute lost to Hanover Central 3-2 in Boys Varsity Tennis today in a conference match. The entire match was a battle until the end. #2 Singles and #1 Doubles finished their matches first. We won #2 Singles and lost #1 Doubles. Then, we lost #2 Doubles later on. Now the scores became 1-2 and we knew we had to win the rest of the two courts. Our #3 Singles was down the 1st set and came back to a 7-point tiebreak to win the 2nd set. Both players rested for 10 minutes before starting of a 3rd set or a 10-point tiebreak. It depended on the outcome of the #1 Singles that were still in battling. It was a long 2nd set on court #1 and we finally lost to a 7-point tiebreak after a long and hard battle. Now our #3 Singles only needed to play the 10-point tiebreak instead of a whole 3rd set since we already down 3-1 after #1 Singles match. Our #3 Singles continued to fight every point and erased 2 match points from his opponent to even out to 11-11. Then the match finally ended in 13-11 for our #3 Singles. The Warriors played one of their best matches of the season. This will give them a good feel for the Sectionals starting this Wednesday.
