Noll won sole possession of the Northwest Indiana Soccer Conference title last night witha 6-1 victory over Covenant Christian. Jake Fuehrmeyer opened up the scoring for the Warriors when his shot took an awkward bounce away from the Knights’ keeper and found it’s way to the back of the net. Jake Wichlinski scored the second goal of the night when a beautiful ball from Bruno Zamora was knocked over the keeper’s head. Wichlinski scored the third goal of the evening when Alonso Soto made an incredible run down the right wing to slot the ball across the box and have Wichlinski smash it home. Noll’s fourth goal of the evening came from a brilliant team attack. Noah Reid gave the ball to Zamora who played Fuehrmeyer who played a no look give and go back to Zamora who found Jake Wichlinski waiting and finishing off his hat trick. Jake wasn’t done scoring as he put his fourth goal of the night and 26th of the season in after finishing off a Jaime Hernandez through ball. The final goal of the evening was another great team goal. The boys were playing the ball beautifully, Jake Wichlinski slotted it across the goal where Henry Smith patiently awaited to put the ball in the net. Danny Salazar finished the night with 5 saves. Noll finishes the regular season 15-1 and looks towards Wednesday where they will pen up Sectional play against Hammond High.
